When everything comes out as expected, including the sun behind the window.
What is right for a kitchen with no right angle? Can you live on a Czech farmhouse like in a kitchen paradise? And why is blue good? Surrounded by beautiful nature, we worked on a beautiful assignment. Preserve the atmosphere of the place, combine natural motifs with modern technologies and most importantly, come up with a kitchen unit that will look great not only in design magazines, but also on a real Czech farmhouse. you can peek in to see if we have been successful through the glass windows that fill both front walls of the room.
Kitchen on a farmhouse. A balm for the soul and the eve.
There is no right angle in this space, therefore, all kitchen furniture had to be thoughtfully incorporated into the atypical environment. The choice ended up to be the Gant set in a half-rustic, half-western style toned in creamy blue colours. The combination of both shades literally caresses the soul. The pure charm of the cream colour makes the set look like a gift from a candy store, while the blue corresponds with the endless azure sky behind the glass. The colour selection was reached through testing from the NCS colour palette - first we had the test door painted and based on reactions we then finally adjusted it to a darker shade of blue
The Sykora kitchen set. Sophisticated solution for a carefree life.
We have been equally responsible with everything else. The unconventional space is full of interesting details as well as pitfalls. That's why we placed a sturdy kitchen solitaire with a rotating powerport in the middle. Thanks to It, the owners have everything at hand when cooking.
Rustic, and yet worldly.
Another dominant feature of the kitchen is the free-standing American refrigerator with ice maker. We have built functional cabinets in cream matt lacquer around it and stretched them all the way to the ceiling. On the opposite side, there is an equally colourful set of practical boxes and drawers, interlaid with top-of-the-range Miele appliances and a pantry cabinet with drawers. In order to avoid the set looking like a monolith, we have relieved it on the top and sides with extending cabinets with a glass grille. They look a bit like love letters to the sun. They are in the same style as the large wall windows and fit great with the spot led lights all around. The rustic feel of the kitchen is underlined by the chosen doors design - Gant moulding in combination with decorative cut-outs and two types of rustic handles. Additionally, we lined the whole set with a higher profiled lacquered crown. However, a visible cooker hood is completely missing - it is built directly into the induction hob to keep the airiness.
A recipe for satisfaction? Great durability and appearance.
The worktop is made from Technistone Brilliant Starlight White material. Behind this long name lies even longer lifespan and exceptional utility value. It will last long and looks great - after all, the same characteristics apply to it as to the whole building. Under the window we situated a spacious glazed ceramic sink with a rustic shower faucet. In this so-called blue zone, we also used a laminate corpus in the Tosca colour, which matches the floor. This keeps the most stressed parts of the kitchen in perfect condition even after daily hard work. This kitchen has everything that the most modern kitchen sets in big city penthouses have. Plus, one more essential thing - the charming nature all around and within itself.
