In the center of Prague. In the center of yourself.
Streetcars going under your windows and instead of the forest rustling, you hear the noise of moving crowd. Living in center has its pros and cons. All the more important it is to make your apartment your home where you can be yourself without any compromise. The owner of the penthouse in the heart of Prague wished to maintain the genius loci of the place and fill it with modern aesthetics at the same time. Due to the unorthodox arrangement of walls, floor and overall segmentation of the space, it demanded plenty of work and creativity but the finished result is custom-made set where you simply love to be and love to live.
Diamond veneer
The kitchen is situated into the corner of the bottom floor, opposite the stairway, framed by slanting wall on one side and wooden beams on the other. That is one of the reasons why the Evermatt Terrabrown design with top black handles and 3D Diamond smoked oak veneer on the doors was chosen. It beautifully matches with the original atmosphere and brings its own sophisticated charm in addition.
Sophisticated charm
The L-shaped layout of the kitchen helps the space to retain its airiness and lightness while the island with the cooking center offers plenty of room for work and utilities. It has a built-in pull-out cooker hood which only shows when needed, otherwise it quietly waits inside. The 12mm Dekton Sirius worktop can withstand any intensity of cooking passion, and you can trust that the owner of this kitchen really loves to cook. Due to the step on the floor, the island has a two-level base. Another one of many unconventional solutions that can be found in this kitchen set is a slide out niche for coffee machine in the corner. As the client herself states: “Our kitchen form the Sykora company is really thoroughly done and detailed and only receives compliments.” Having a great address is one thing. Having a beautiful home on this address is however, much more important.
