Grey brightens up not only your day
Colors are a magical elixir that can swiftly transform our mood or change the atmosphere of the place. We all know the sensual magic of red or the endless charm of blue. But did you ever notice how grey makes you feel? One of the most comforting tones on the spectrum, where day and night meet and which can turn a volatile day into a pleasant haven from where you won't want to come back? In the current realization, we preferred grey - or rather its luxury variant Dusty Grey in lacquered finish - and with its help, connected every corner of the large family house. At any given moment, it can help you focus on what's important - yourself and the joy of being at home.
Material and colors in perfect symphony
We dressed the nicely and practically built family house into the elegant grey from head to toe, or in this case from kitchen to the entrance hall. It perfectly matches the neutral white that the owners wanted on the walls. The charming, but at the same time not very ostentatious impression was further underlined by a unifying element in the form of stone oak in laminate, which rhythmically appears in various rooms and uses and corresponds with the shade of the floating floors.
The kitchen as a place for a generous portion of life
The kitchen connected with the living room acts as a portal for the house residents to meet, communicate, relax and of course cook and enjoy all the good things life has to offer. The kitchen set thus naturally points to the open living room space and becomes an integral part of it. Already when preparing the meals, people are always close and in sight. We placed the cooking and working areas on a large island and paired it with a body of tall cabinets in the Pure design. From left to front in both visual and ergonomic lines, there is a refrigerator, a dishwashing area and a column of appliances with a high-end coffee machine. And into the solitaire we’ve built-in a wine cabinet, so it’s nice at hand when you sit at the dining table at the forefront of the set.
Hitting the bull’s eye
The dominant grey color is repeated not only on the kitchen cabinets, varnished in Evermatt, but also on the cabinets under the TV or on the sofa. We have also added a few black elements to the distinctive and calm visual image for contrast - they appear on the sink, the faucet, the base of the dining table or chairs; you can also find black on the fireplace, the original lighting or on the metal bookshelf, which is custom-made of course.
Sykora: smart ideas in amazing design
We have applied the identical color combination in the pantry, which we have upgraded to a laundry room by installing suitable furniture. Plenty of smart ideas that mix original design and functional innovations are manifested in many other places in the house. For example, in the study, which can be easily converted into a guest room in a few minutes. Because it contains a fold-out bed, as well as plenty of storage space for duvets, clothes and documents. A special feature is the acoustic wall panel.
Beautiful to enter
We also took the remaining areas of the house into our hands. We provided built-in wardrobes for clothes and shoes in the entrance hall and complemented them with a low shoe cabinet with hangers. There is a mirror on the opposite wall - therefore the space got visually enlarged and brightened. A very practical solution that you will appreciate every day. Here we have accentuated the grey with Alpine White gloss.
From the kitchen, to the master bedroom with a walk-in wardrobe or the upstairs toilet and bathroom, to the entrance area - the use of grey makes the whole house feel welcoming, cozy and like a place where you feel exactly as you should: safe, calm and surrounded by positive energy. Add your dearest ones and you have a living like no other.
