On the banks of the Vltava River, in the dreamland, I'll have breakfast before I step into the next days. What sounds like a passage from a poetic confession of a romantic who will never learn is, in case of this set, an everyday reality. The new Sykora kitchen, located in one of the apartments of the exceptional Kay River project in Karlin, offers a great experience inside and equally captivating views outside. Designed to perfectly mirror daylight and capture cosmopolitan mood, it combines coziness with grandiosity. And privacy with vibrant nobleness.

Dark surfaces alternate with light ones, the area, used to the maximum, is interleaved with airy, robust windows, the passageways are complemented by comfortable seating. Whatever plan you imagine, it will fulfill here. Pleasure to your eye is matched with practicality - everything works to perfection. The materials have been carefully chosen to give a charming impression, while being resistant to mechanical damage. For this reason, the designers at Sykora used high-gloss acrylic for the kitchen doors and fitted it with a Cubanite decor with fine glitter. While you will leave your eyes on them, fingerprints and scratches have no chance of sticking to the doors.
Comfirmed in black and white: a great choice.
If an art critic were to give a headline to this kitchen set, it would probably read: Earthiness and ethereality of design in one. The light tones of the tall and horizontal cabinets really do seem to levitate near the white walls and above the softly annealed floor. Dark elements then solidify the whole composition and bring order to the eclectic cocktail. Therefore, the contrasting worktop could not be in any other color than black and from anything else than the luxurious Nero Zimbabwe Patinato granite. Also, the faucets, the recessed handles on the countertop, the doors, but also the switches and even the LED lighting above the island are black.
Sykora kitchen. A dream that is dreamt every day
The work area connects to the serving area and the kitchen area to the lounge area. The solitaire with bar seating forms an optical dividing point, on one side it is surrounded by the Natuzzi dining table and on the other by a combined fridge-freezer. And immediately within the reach, the owners have a dishwashing center and cooking area with an Elica hood built into one of the cupboards. On the right, the set ends with an appliance box with microwave and hot-air oven in a classic stacked layout.
From here it's just a step to the door and life beyond them. But who would want to leave this oasis of elegance, impressiveness and functionality? After all, everything the modern person in the metropolis is looking for is here - and the waves and the river are right outside the window. Once again, we at Sykora are happy to have been able to make another dream come true.
